It was a fun, laid-back, relaxed event for folks who enjoy drinking wine, a nice presentation by our lovable Sommelier and an excellent antipasto prepared by the former Italian-American Executive Chef to the President of the United States of America. Hosted by the Knights of St. Thomas More at St. Anthony's Parish in Kraainem. Sponsored in conjunction with the internationally known, Sante Magazine, the magazine for Restaurant Professionals and the International Food Service Executives Association (IFSEA) European Union office. All attendees at the Wine Tasting, who signed up, received a free subscription to Sante. Filled with wine, food and recipes - you'll love every issue that arrives at your doorstep. Not only is it loaded with wine and food features but it's free to you, as a special students gift subscription. Our April 13th California Cuisine class was super! Oh yes, indeedy, it was fresh and fun as we ushered in spring time and the sunny state of California. We whipped up tasty treats made famous all over the state including the city of San Francisco and San Diego. We get our fingers in on the action as we prepared a Cioppino from Fisherman's Wharf and then a flower pot bread from Stockton. Sunday afternoon class on March 10th featured some
beautiful Irish American food from Boston, Massachusetts. We paired an
American Tenderloin with a Guinness Stout sauce over hand piped Colcannon
potatoes with hand turned baby carrots. yellow patty pat, tender green asparagus
and more lovely vegetables. We also got a terrific Boston Clam Chowder and Irish Soda bread
cooked up and tasted! It was hot food
