Our philosophy:

    The American Institute Mission Statement is made up of two simple sentences.

1. "Share a little bit of American with everybody."

2.  "USAi - where the student is treated like gold, not just another number.

    American food is on the rise and being given top gold medals from the worlds Master Chefs and culinary judges.  

    The United States, American Culinary Federation (ACF) 2000 Culinary Olympic Team (Team Gold) was judged by over 80 international judges and "struck gold," numerous times.  America's Olympic Teams have been attending the Culinary Olympics for before most of us were born.  Hosted for over 100 years, by the German Chefs Association (Verband Koch Deutchland), the Culinary Olympics is co-hosted by the World Association of Cooks Societies (WACS).  This was not the first or last time that American food was deemed worthy of gold medals.  Executive Chef Mongiello attended the Olympics and cheered when the 2000 US Military team was crowned the #1, world champion.

     But, for many decades, American food has been getting gold marks, and medals, from the worlds top, exclusive chef judges.  The world's Master Chefs speak in numerous languages and come from the 60+ member countries of WACS.  American food embraces all countries to live and teach us, it's customs and cuisines.  These cuisines are regularly evident in "themes" of presentation at the Culinary Olympics - and they get silver and gold medals - all the time.

     America is also known for being a rich and powerful country.  Does a billionaire New York banker take a new French client out to McDonald's to eat dinner then?  Do the rich and famous Hollywood stars eat at Burger King and Kentucky Fried Chicken?  Is that what we would have the world believe?  The truth is that the millionaire or billionaire banker takes a client out to the 21 Club or Tavern on the Green and visits McDonald's with his kids on a Saturday afternoon.  Yet, McDonalds is what many people think of - when they think of all American food.  That is changing now and we welcome you to find out why and to enjoy learning with us!  America is on the culinary rise to world prominence and recognition is already behind us.  We love the world, who has migrated to the US, to make it what it is today.  The world loves us back - since we are a little bit of each country rolled up in one.  And we embrace each culture by showcasing it's beauty, in the American way, during our classes.  Come join us and have some fun - and yes, we always taste beautiful American wines during every class!
